Recently, in an interview, Taslima Nasreen spoke up about the double standards of writers when it came to dissent. She told a leading daily that “many writers are guilty of double standards when it comes to dissent.”
She also claimed that secular people for being more pro-Muslim and anti-Hindu. Raveena Tandon, seconded the idea. She wrote in a tweet: “Kind of 2nd that,They've bn silent all along,I guess writers ve mood swings too, mayb they wr waiting 4 ache din 2 cm.”
In a series of tweets, she went on to ask why there were selective protests. She wrote: “Why only selective protests??Why has there been silence so long??whether Godhra-kashmir delhi mumbai bombblasts all should've been protested”  (Read: Taslima Nasreen hits out at protesting writers, says most seculars are pro-Muslim and anti-Hindu)
She added: “The government needs to send out strong signals that this kind of communal killings will not be tolerated. It's time for people to wake up. Agreed we are all not living in an idealistic atmosphere as all would've liked .. If you read my timeline I have spoken on mostly all.”   (Read: Is cow slaughter becoming the Hindutva equivalent of drawing the Prophet?)
