Beef eating is permitted among Muslim communities but it is not a must doing ritual for them. It is true that cow is an article of faith for Hindus. But fish (Matsya), turtle  (Kurma) and  pig (Varaha) are also should have to be the article of faith for the same social group as these three are direct incarnations of God Vishnu. Nobody in this country so far have demanded for the ban on eating pig meat. Muslims do not touch even the dishes that cook pork (the meat of Pig).

Then why row over beef alone?  It seems beef has religiopolitical angle. As beef does not imply the cow meat alone, it is wrong to perceive that only Muslims eat the beef. Dalits, tribal and Christians, that constitute much bigger pie of the Indian population than Muslims, also eat beef. 

బీఫ్ అంటే ఆవు మాంసం మాత్రమే కానట్టు,  

బీఫ్ తినేవాళ్ళు ముస్లింలు మాత్రమే కాదు.
